Hey! I’m Gi and I created FayDesign.Co in hopes of helping more organizations and individuals who strive to make a positive impact on the world tell their stories.
I grew up in New York and in 2020, moved back to Taiwan, where my parents are from. It’s in this space that I began to heal and gain a deeper understanding of how I want to show up in this world that we’re all a part of.
These past five years working in marketing and design, I’ve come to understand the power of storytelling. Exposure and representation seeps into our subconscious and it’s these very stories that make the capitalistic system work. While at heart, I’d love to break the system or step out of it, I’ve also come to understand that active resistance in place is perhaps the most responsible and impactful way to engage with the extractive system that we’re all born into.
I believe that win-wins exist.
I believe that to make a difference, we have to be intentional in how we choose to show up and who we choose to work with.
I believe that if we collectively begin investing financial capital into the individuals and organizations who hold the same values and beliefs as us, then maybe we can slowly begin to move the needle towards the direction that we want to go in.
Positive stories inspire hope and it’s from that spark of hope that we can begin to see action.
